Dr. Diane K. Pinkers

Dr. Diane Pinkers graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Veterinary medicine was her life-long dream job, captivating her interest as no other profession has.

She is interested in internal medicine of both small animals like cats and dogs, and large animals like horses, llamas, and sheep, and in alternative medicine. In 2000, she became certified in acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. In 2005 she expanded her knowledge to include Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, and is hoping to become certified in that as well.

In 2011 she became a diplomat in Canine and Feline Practice from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. As defined on the ABVP website:

“An ABVP board certified veterinarian has demonstrated by the certification process that they are capable of providing a level of clinical practice that is clearly superior to the norm of the profession”.

A former resident of Bellevue, Washington, she rode horses dressage and hunt seat during high school and college. She is interested in all sorts of fiber crafts often from the wool of her own sheep such as: spins, weaves, dyes, and knits.
